Acharavi Mixed Choir in Limassol, Cyprus

The Acharavi 'Nikolaos Poulias' mixed choir participated in the 11th European Choral Festival held in Limassol, Cyprus, on November 13 and 14. The festival took place at the Pattichion Municipal Theatre of Limassol, initiated by the Aris Limassol Choir and under the auspices of the Municipality of Limassol.

During the event, works by Mikis Theodorakis were performed, set to the poetry of Giorgos Seferis and Angelos Sikelianos, accompanied by the Aris Limassol orchestra, as well as songs of various content and origin. The choir from Acharavi was conducted by Agathi Koskina.

"The choir returned emotionally charged, as the stay in the island included a visit to the occupied territories of Nicosia and to historical sites where the past of Cyprus intertwines with that of our country. The hospitality was warm and impeccable, and we hope to reciprocate the invitation on our own island."
