Corfu AHEPA organises cruise for Child Care Home children
CORFU. The children, together with their escorts, had the pleasure of seeing all the important sights of the stunning Old Town.
The Corfu branch of AHEPA, Corcyra HJ-34, continuing to support the children hosted at the Child Care Home, organised on Wednesday 27 September a mini cruise with the 'Pirate Ship BLACK ROSE'.
The children, together with their escorts, had the pleasure of seeing all the important sights of the stunning old town, the coastline, the two Venetian fortresses, Garitsa Bay, Anemomylos, the Mon Repos Palace, the famous Vlacherna Monastery, Pontikonisi and Corfu Airport where they saw planes landing.
The children played with pirate hats and swords, while they also climbed the ship's bridge where they enjoyed the beauty of the Old Town's coastline. When they returned to the port, the children and their escorts and the AHEPA members continued with a walk around Corfu Old Town where they enjoyed ice cream.
The AHEPA Corcyra HJ-34 Board expressed its sincere thanks to the captain and crew of the 'Pirate Ship BLACK ROSE' for providing the ship, for the excellent care given to the children and the tour with the ship.
