Corfu Hospital's Artificial Kidney Unit will operate from now on with temporary solutions. The only nephrologist left due to the sick leave of the other two doctors, has already taken his leave and his resignation is only a matter of time.
Having pushed his mental and physical limits, he has submitted a request to take his leave and announced his upcoming resignation.
The Artificial Kidney Unit will now continue to operate with transfers from the hospitals in Filiates and Ioannina until interest is shown to fill the advertised positions.
However, the Corfu Hospital Director Manto Egglezopoulou told Enimerosi that the problem that occurred due to the doctor's leave from July 5. However, the gap will be filled in cooperation with the 6th Health Region and patients have already been informed.
