Educational seminar for Corfu producers

As part of the project for the organisation and operation of the Ionian Islands Seed Bank, which is funded by the cross-border cooperation project titled "Addressing joint Agro- and Aqua – Biodiversity pressures Enhancing Sustainable Rural Development (B.E.S.T.)", the Department of Food Science and Technology of the Ionian University is organising an educational seminar on Friday, May 12th. The seminar is aimed at producers and farmers in Corfu, as well as interested stakeholders in the primary sector. The seminar will take place in the Aretaios building (Room 3) of the Ionian University (entrance from the Psychiatric Hospital), from 19:00-21:00.
The seminar programme includes training for participants on topics such as plant protection, plant nutrition, pruning, irrigation, organic farming, and management of crop residues. The educational seminar will be coordinated by Pavlos Bouhaier, who is responsible for the organisation and operation of the Ionian Islands Seed Bank.
The support service for the Seed Bank's actions was assigned, after an open competition conducted by the Ionian Islands Region (Lead Partner of the project), to the Special Account for Research Funds of the Ionian University, with Associate Professor of the Department of Food Science and Technology, Mr. Pavlos Bouhaier, responsible.
