The 64-year-old son of the 93-year-old woman who was found dead in her home in the centre of town last August was arrested today for her murder.
A warrant was issued for his arrest for homicide by the investigating magistrate following a police interrogation and investigation with lab data and other evidence.
The man was arrested at the psychiatric facility where he has been hospitalised up to now. He was taken to appear before the Prosecutor and his re-hospitalisation was ordered by the investigating magistrate until the case comes to trial.
The woman was found dead in her home on the afternoon of Sunday 28 August, 2022.
