CORFU. On Wednesday 17, Thursday 18 and Friday 19 August in Pentofanaro and on Saturday 20 August in Othoni.
The Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipality along with the Hellenic Society for the Study and Protection of the Monk seal (MOm) will hold an exhibition in order to provide the public with useful information on the Mediterranean monk seal's biology, population and distribution in Greece and the Ionian Sea in particular, and raise awareness.
MOm members will be in Corfu on Wednesday 17, Thursday 18 and Friday 19 August in the afternoon in Pentofanaro, while on Saturday 20 August they will be in Othoni.
This action is part of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipality's participation in the 100 Intelligent Cities Challenge – ICC, where the Municipality aims to reduce the environmental footprint and protect the environment in general. The Municipality is represented by Deputy Mayor for European Programmes, Development and Digital Governance Panayiota Tzanne - who is the local ICC project manager - and Viktoras Dimoulis, the assistant project manager.
