Corfu Prison inmates receive certificates after completing educational programme

CORFU. The Mayor Meropi Ydraiou awarded the certificates to the participants who successfully completed the programme, which was implemented under the aegis of the Municipality’s Lifelong Learning Centre.
The awarding of the certificates for the successful completion of the educational programme "Inmates - Communication in everyday life (A1 Level)" was held at Corfu Prison on Thursday 14 July. The beneficiaries, inmates in Corfu Prison, had the opportunity to complete a 125-hour educational programme.
The Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Mayor Meropi Ydraiou awarded the certificates to the participants who successfully completed the programme, which was implemented under the aegis of the Municipality's Lifelong Learning Centre in the presence of the Councillor responsible for education Maria Zervou.
The Corfu Prison Director Mrs. Stavrou, the Deputy Director Stamatis Souvlakis, the President of the Friends of Corfu Prison School Association Katina Vlachou and the Corfu Association of Chessplayers President Manos Nathanail were also present at the award ceremony.
The second educational programme "Inmates - Communication in everyday life (A2 Level)" will also be completed soon.
