CORFU. Police conducted 524 checks in the Ionian Islands and found 30 violations.
Police have been carrying out checks to ensure that non-smoking laws are being adhered to.
Between 10 and 20 April, there were 30 violations in the 524 premises checked by police in the Ionian Islands .
Corfu - 16 business owners were fined €500 each and 1 customer was fined €100.
Lefkada - 1 business owner was fined €2,000 and 6 others were fined €500 each.
Zakynthos - 5 business owners were fined €500 each and 1 customer was fined €100.
