Ionian University collecting food and basic necessities for Ukrainians

CORFU. Donations will be collected from Monday to Friday, 9:00–21:00, on the ground floor of the building of the History and Archives, Library and Museology Departments (I. Theotoki 72).
The Ionian University, in collaboration with its Ukrainian students, is collecting food and basic necessities for those in need in Ukraine. This initiative is a continuation of the accommodation and food that the University is providing to its students from Ukraine.
The following items are being collected:
- Long-life foodstuffs (pasta, cereals, evaporated milk, tinned food, biscuits, etc.)
- Baby food
- Diapers, baby wipes
- Personal hygiene items
- Syringes, painkillers, bandages, antipyretics, gauzes, thermometers, blood pressure monitors, antiseptics
- Sleeping bags and exercise mats
“The Ionian University is standing by the Ukrainians, who are experiencing this awful situation and are facing the danger to their lives, as well as hunger and disease. We are calling everyone to participate, in any way they can, in order to help our fellow humans”, said the Ionian University Dean Professor Andreas Floros.
Donations will be collected from Monday to Friday, 9:00–21:00, on the ground floor of the building of the History and Archives, Library and Museology Departments (I. Theotoki 72). The collection points in the other islands – headquarters of the University will be announced soon.
