CORFU. Two interesting robotics actions took place at the Corfu Central Public History Library, in the British Barracks in the Old Fortress.

The two actions are a collaboration between the Ionian University Informatics Department and Corfu Tech Lab, which is one of the American Spaces of the American Embassy in Greece.

The first action was for pupils of the last two years of primary school and the first two years of high school, while the second one was for Ionian University students.

Rochelle Darville, who is in Greece on a Fulbright scholarship from the USA, was in charge of the action.

Rochelle Darville is a PhD candidate at Southern University A&M College, USA, in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) field. She seeks to examine the use of historical and cultural artifacts to engage multi-cultural students in STEM education. She is a teacher at West St. John High School in Louisiana. As a volunteer, she promotes STEM education and STEM equity and coordinates STEM programmes in her school district.

Assistant Professor and member of the Bioinformatics and Human Electrophysiology Laboratory of the Informatics Department Spyridon Doukakis coordinated the actions on behalf of the Ionian University, while Secondary School Teacher Marios Mayioladitis coordinated the actions on behalf of Corfu Tech Lab.

The Ionian University Vice Rector Christina Banou welcomed the actions.
