Pulmonologist at Corfu Hospital given permanent contract

CORFU. A pulmonologist and tuberculosis specialist has been given a permanent contract at Corfu Hospital.
Andreas Afthinos, who has been working as an auxiliary doctor at the hospital for four years, has now been given a permanent contract.
Two positions were advertised, but only the one has been covered as there have been no applications for the second.
The hospital administration issued the following statement:
"The doctor assumed his duties on 17 January, adding to the permanent personnel in the hospital Pulmonary Department.
We wish him every success and welcome him to our permanent staff."
