Viral load in Corfu urban wastewater continues to increase

ATHENS. In the week 27/12-2/1, there was a significant increase in the average weekly viral load in urban wastewater in Corfu Town (+283%) compared to the previous week.
According to the latest update, there has been a general increase in the viral load in urban wastewater in the 12 areas inspected by the EODY National Network of Sewage Epidemiology. The clear increases range from +38% in Chania to +516% in Agios Nikolaos. The only slight increase was observed in Heraklion (+26%).
