CORFU. Checks on illegal smoking are increasing.
Police have been carrying out checks to ensure that non-smoking laws are being adhered to.
Between 20 and 27 December, there were 12 violations in the 285 premises checked by police in Corfu - 8 business owners were fined €500 each and 4 customers were fined €100 each.
