5 deaths at Corfu Hospital in 24 hours

CORFU. Another three elderly patients died at Corfu Hospital this morning.
Two patients in the Special Infectious Diseases Unit died, one of whom had serious underlying conditions, and one in the ICU.
Another two patients died yesterday, bringing the total to five in the last 24 hours. According to hospital sources, all five were unvaccinated.
At the moment (Friday, 13:00), there are 36 Covid patients in the Special Infectious Diseases Unit and Pulmonary Clinic and 4 in the ICU, 3 of whom are intubated and the other with high oxygen supply.
All the Covid Units are at their limits and, according to hospital sources, if admissions continue at this rate, some operating theatres will have to be converted into wards or patients will have to be transferred elsewhere - to Ioannina or wherever there are beds available.
