CORFU. Corfu Hospital remains under pressure.
The Special Infectious Diseases Unit and the Pulmonary Clinic are approaching their limits.
According to hospital sources (Tuesday 12:00), there are 26 Covid patients in the Special Infectious Diseases Unit, which can take a maximum of 30 and 11 in the Pulmonary Clinic, which can take a maximum of 17.
The number of patients in the ICU has decreased by one, following the transfer of a 52-year-old patient to the Infectious Diseases Unit. There are now 4 patients in the ICU, which can take a maximum of 7.
The President of the Ambulance Service (EKAB) Employees Union Christos Kypriotis told Enimerosi that the number of Covid patients being transferred by ambulance recently is on the increase. "We want to alert the public to what is happening and we support the efforts for vaccination," he said.
