CORFU. Corfu Hospital remains under pressure as the number of Covid hospital admissions continues to increase.
The number of Covid hospital admissions continues to increase and the ICU beds are now full.
According to hospital sources (Monday 11:50), there are 24 Covid patients in the Special Infectious Diseases Unit, 11 in the Pulmonary Clinic and the number of patients in the ICU has increased by one - taking it up to 5 - following the transfer of one patient from the Infectious Diseases Unit.
The ages of those in the ICU range from 52 to 82 and they are all unvaccinated. All the beds in the ICU are now full.
There are plans, however, to add two more beds if necessary.
Of the 24 patients in the Special Infectious Diseases Unit, just two are vaccinated.
