CORFU. Corfu is in the red on the epidemiological map of Greece with over 80 daily cases over the last few days.

The new measures, which mainly affect the unvaccinated, came into force today and will continue until 22 November in an effort to halt the fourth wave which has spread throughout the country and to take the pressure off the National Health System.

Those who are unvaccinated will need to produce a negative rapid or PCR test to enter banks, public offices, retail outlets, mixed entertainment venues (outdoors) and hairdressers. This rule will not apply to food stores, supermarkets, bakeries and churches (apart from those working there, who require a test).

Corfu is in the red on the epidemiological map of Greece with over 80 daily cases over the last few days. From this morning, shoppers have had to present the necessary certification in order to enter.

The checks by shop staff on rapid tests for the unvaccinated and vacinnation certificates has created small queues outside some shops.

The certificates are checked via an app, which requires a little bit of time for confirmation.

There are heavy fines for any violations.
