CORFU. There are 12 patients hospitalised in the Covid Unit whereas there were just four a few days ago.
The number of Covid patients in Corfu Hospital Special Infectious Diseases Unit is on the increase again with the beds filling over the last few days.
There are 12 patients hospitalised in the Covid Unit today, Wednesday (12:00), whereas there were just four a few days ago. The ages range from 30 to 88 and the majority are unvaccinated.
There are 3 patients in the ICU with an average age of 60.
There is concern at the situation as, if the rate of admissions continues at the present rate, the Covid Unit will be under pressure again.
There were 28 new cases in Corfu yesterday and the daily number has been in double digits since 16 October.
