Man, 60, found dead in a well in Stroggili

CORFU. Achillion police officers rushed to the scene after being called by the man’s son, who had been looking for him for some time.
The death of the 60-year-old man, who was pulled out of a well early on Wednesday, has been confirmed. He was a local man who had a farm with animals in the area. It is not known how he fell into the well. The matter is being investigated by Achillion Police Station.
The man, who had fallen into a well, was pulled out unconscious by the Rescue Team. The incident took place at around 19:00 on Wednesday 18 August in the Strongili area in Kastelanous Mesi.
Achillion police officers rushed to the scene after being called by the man’s son, who had been looking for him for some time.
The police officers requested the assistance of the Fire Service and half an hour later he was unfortunately pulled out dead.
