CORFU. The woman had been hospitalised in the Special Infectious Disease Unit before being moved to the ICU due to her worsening condition.
According to hospital sources, the 82-year-old woman was unvaccinated.
At this time (10:30), there are no other patients in the ICU. The Covid Unit remains under pressure with just 5 beds available.
Although some patients are being discharged, there were four new admissions yesterday and so today there are 21 patients hospitalised in the Covid Unit, the majority of whom are unvaccinated.
