CORFU. Fun for youngsters and a breather for working parents this summer.
Sports clubs and groups are offering a variety of activities for youngsters this summer, all carried out in strict adherence with health protocols.
Under guidance, youngsters will have the opportunity to learn a range of sea and other sports activities. The cost of the programmes ranges from 35 to 100 Euros.
There has already been great interest in summer camps, which give working parents a breather and allow youngsters to spend their free time creatively.
Corfu Yachting Club "Little Skippers"
Corfu Yachting Club is offering summer camps with sea and sailing at its newly-renovated facilities. The 2-week camps run from 09:00 to 14:00 on weekdays on the following dates:
5 - 16 July
19 - 30 July
2 - 13 August
The programmes are for children aged 7-14 with the only condition being that they know how to swim. Each 2-week programme costs €100 with discounts for siblings and those that wish to take part in more than one programme.
Applications can be submitted until the places have been filled.

Swimming and sailing at NAOK
Daily swimming lessons at NAOK starting on Thursday 1 July.
Monday-Thursday 16:00 - 18:15 for children aged 3½ and older.
Water polo
Monday-Thursday 18:00 - 20:00 for children aged 6 and older.
The programme will run until 15 August.
Cost for a month - €35

Monday - Friday 10:00 - 14:00 for 6 weeks until Friday 6 August.
Yachting lessons for children aged 7-14
Only a small number will be allowed to take part due to Covid protocols.

Summer swimming lessons for children aged 4-8.
Agia Ekaterini public beach, Alykes
The programme is expected to begin at the beginning of July and run until the end of August
Monday and Wednesday 16:00 - 18:00
Cost: €35 per month
70 applications have already been received so the number of remaining places is limited.

5-12 July - Girls from 2nd to 5th Years of primary school
14 -20 July - Boys from 2nd to 5th Years of primary school
22 -31 July - Girls from primary 6th Year, junior high and high school
17-23 August - Boys from primary 6th Year, junior high and high school

Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Municipal Council gave the green light yesterday for the 'Stamatios Desylas' camp in Gouvia to operate this year.
Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Municipality is also organising the 'Summer in Vidos 2021' programme for two months. The programme is for children aged 6-13 and involves sports and creative activities. 120 children have registered so far.
