In the next few days a contracted crew will begin work filling in potholes between Barbati and Old Perithia and another crew will do the same in South Corfu in the Kavos area.

Work has already begun cleaning up branches and long grass along Eth. Paleokastritsa Rd and next week the same will be done along Eth. Lefkimmi Rd in the San Stefano-Tria Gefiria section and the Benitses-Moraitika section.

As was stated at the meeting, this work is being carried out to provide immediate solutions to residents' everyday problems and will be followed by permanent solutions to improve the road network in Corfu once there is agreement with the contractors.

With regard to the power supply problems in various parts of the island (Velonades, Roda junction, Agios Ioannis, Sidari and others), the tender process is underway to select three contractors for the three projects (North, South and Central Corfu) which will have a budget of €60,000 each. This funding will allow the regional authority to begin the necessary work to repair the damages to the power supply network.
