Rapid tests for all before entering hospital - New instructions from EODY

CORFU. Corfu Hospital has three Pfizer vaccination streams and one AstraZeneca stream.

In line with new guidelines from EODY and taking into account the situation in Corfu, Corfu Hospital Administration has issued the following statement:

- At the main entrance all those wishing to enter the hospital have to first take a rapid test.

- Patients will only be seen at the Outpatients Department by appointment made by phone on 26610 30062 / 26613 60873. They must wear a mask and strictly observe social distances. Appointments not made in this way (by speaking directly with a doctor) will not be seen.

- Preoperative tests for sars-cov-2 on patients going to a hospital in another Region are conducted daily 10:00 - 11:00 at the Emergency Department and results given at the kiosk in front of the Emergency Department or by e-mail.

- The main entrances to all clinics will remain closed 24 hours a day. Only one escort per patient is allowed, in nearly all cases the same escort throughout the patient's hospitalisation, and only if the treating doctor considers it necessary and gives written authorisation.

- No visitors are allowed at any time.

The hospital has three Pfizer vaccination streams and one AstraZeneca stream. Two additional Pfizer streams will shortly be operational and from 5 May a Janssen vaccination stream.

Those who have vaccination appointments are requested to arrive at the earliest 15 minutes before the appointment and with an escort only if it is deemed absolutely necessary.
