LONDON. ΄Corfiot΄ Prince Philip has died aged 99.
Buckingham Palace announced: "The Duke of Edinburgh, who had been married to the Queen for 73 years, passed away at Windsor Castle this morning."
Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, was born in the historical Mon Repos Palace in Corfu on 10 June, 1921 and was the longest living male member of the British Royal Family.
It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
