LARISSA. There was a strong earthquake in Larissa at 12:16 today.
According to the Geodynamic Institute in Athens, the earthquake had a magnitude of 6 Richter with the epicentre 16km south of Elassona and had a depth of 7.8km.
The earthquake could be felt strongly in Corfu.
There was also an aftershock in the same area (7km WSW of Elassona) at 12:19 with a magnitude of 4.6 Richter.
