CORFU. According to eye witnesses, the boy, Spyros K., was attempting to cross the road near the furniture showroom.
A 14-year-old boy was fatally injured in a road accident on Eth. Paleokastritsa Rd. at around 8pm on Tuesday night.
According to eye witnesses, the boy, Spyros K., was attempting to cross the road near the furniture showroom.
He was hit by a motorbike and it seems that the motorcyclist didn't see him until it was too late.
The ambulance crew that quickly arrived attempted to keep him alive and efforts were also made at the hospital, but to no avail. The motorcyclist was also taken to hospital.
As can be seen from the photo above, the street lighting at the spot where the accident happened was off. Eye witnesses say that the boy was also wearing dark clothing.
