CORFU. "From Orestiada to Gavdos and from Othoni to Kastelorizo, remember.."
Squadron Leader Volakakis, F-16 pilot in the Greek Air Force, flew over all the Greek coastal areas sending out a message from the air for the National 'Ochi' Anniversary.
The message he broadcast was as follows: ""From Orestiada to Gavdos and from Othoni to Kastelorizo, remember that the succinctest and most powerful message in world history consists of two syllables: OCHI (NO).
A message which reminds everyone that democracy and freedom are enduring ideals that will triumph as long as there are immortal Greek souls. Souls that are bold beyond their strengths and daring and optimistic in difficulties."
