Cruise ship returns to Heraklion after 12 crew members test positive for coronavirus

HERAKLION. The cruise ship ΄Mein Schiff 6΄, on the first cruise following the restart of cruising in Greece, is returning to Heraklion, Crete from Milos.
There are at least 12 cases amongst the crew of Mein Schiff 6, which is carrying 1,000 passengers. The ship is now returning to Heraklion Port from Milos.
150 sample tests were taken and 12 of them were positive - all crew members of the ship which has 1,000 passengers on board.
The 12 have been placed in quarantine and will be tested again. Civil Protection Deputy Minister Nikos Hardalias has been informed of the situation.
