CORFU. Corfu Medical Association stresses the need to adhere to guidelines from the experts.

Corfu Medical Association has issued guidelines for the public in order to safeguard public health when visiting doctors from Monday 4 May onwards.

The statement signed by president Dimitris Kaloudis:

"Dear fellow citizens,

Given the gradual relaxation of lockdown measures and the extremely satisfactory developments regarding the virus - both nationwide and locally - Corfu Medical Association stresses the need for us all to adhere strictly to the guidelines from the experts.

From 4 May when visiting your doctor:

1. Phone to make an appointment.

2. Ensure that you arrive on time in order to avoid having a lot of people waiting.

3. Wear a face mask before entering the surgery.

4. Disinfect your hands with antiseptic and/or wear disposable gloves as soon as you enter the waiting room.

5. Ensure you are at least 2 metres from others in the waiting room.

Surgeries and diagnostic labs operate in a completely safe way in line with the guidelines from EODY (National Public Health Organisation)."
