ATHENS. Deputy Prime Minister Akis Skertsos presented the detialed government plan.

Following the Greek PM's address regarding the lifting of lockdown measures there followed more details from Ministers.

4 May

Retail businesses open - bookshops, opticians, sportswear, plants.

The use of masks is compulsory for staff and customers. Businesses will open at 10am and in some cases opening hours may be extended.

In shops up to 20 sq.m. 4 people are allowed - for those over 100 sq.m. up to 12 people plus 1 person for every 15 sq.m.

For supermarkets the regulations state 2m between 2 people and no queues of over 5 people. Open-air markets will continue to operate as at present with 50% .

11 May

Remaining retail businesses open with the same regulations as above. Driving schools open using disposable gloves, antiseptic and masks for instructor and pupil.

18 May

Opening of zoos, gardens, archaeological sites and betting shops without seated customers. Regulations as to numbers of people as above.

1 June

Department stores and shopping malls open with compulsory masks for staff and customers and no seating and no catering facilities. No more than 1 customer per 20 sq.m. and the above regulations apply.

Restaurants and cafes to open only outdoors with tables and stands 2 metres apart and up to 4 people per table.
