ATHENS. In his daily update the Civil Protection Deputy Minister said that we are all taking part in this collective effort with patience, perseverance and fortitude but it isn΄t over yet.

There was an increase in movements today, Saturday, due to the improved weather and Mr. Hardalias reminded everyone that there is a strict lockdown until 4 May and fines will be imposed. "I'm reminding everyone of this so that nobody makes plans for trips or days out on May Day," he said.

The Deputy Minister said that  there had been an increase in non-essential movement over the last 24 hours, especially in Athens and Thessaloniki.

He went on to say that until there is a vaccine or an effective way of dealing with the virus our daily lives won't be the same as they were previously.

Regarding what will reopen and when, he said that there will be official announcements early next week and that the Government is taking all factors into consideration in its plan. He made it clear once again that the next phase will be a gradual return to a new everyday life.

He also said that from Monday going to the magistrates court or land registry will be under category B2 on the 13033 form.
