Woman, 78, from Pellas the 52nd victim of coronavirus in Greece

PELLAS. The woman had serious health problems - Pellas Deputy Governor says it was an ΄orphan΄ case - The 51st victim, who was from Kastoria, died on Wednesday night.

The death toll from coronavirus in Greece has now reached 52 following the death of a 78-year-old woman from Foustani, Pellas on Thursday afternoon.

According to pellanews.gr, Foustani residents said that the woman had serious health problems.

Pellas Deputy Regional Governor Iordanis Tzamtzis posted the news on Facebook.

According to information received, the 78-year-old woman came to Foustani from Thessaloniki, where she lived permanently, on 25 March and a few days later she was taken to hospital, where she was diagnosed with coronavirus.

On Wednesday evening Civil Protection Deputy Minister Nikos Hardalias announced that Foustani would be quarantined for 14 days after seeing the number of cases in the previous 48 hours.

The 51st death from coronavirus in Greece was a 51-year-old man from Kastoria on Wednesday night.
