ATHENS. As long as the virus is here, the threat remains, says Prof. Tsiodras, referring to the example of Italy and the serious situation in the USA.

Flights to and from the Netherlands have been suspended as have those to and from Germany for all airports apart from Athens Airport. There will be stricter policing at open-air markets from Monday the Civil Protection Deputy Minister Nikos Hardalias said at today's daily update.

Professor Infectious Diseases Sotiris Tsiodras announced the latest coronavirus figures for Greece. There are 95 new confirmed cases taking the total to 1,061 - most of these are in Athens. The total number of deaths so far is 32.

Prof. Tsiodras talked about the need for psychological support due to the restrictive measures and went on to praise journalists for not sensationalising the death statistics.
