List of shops that remain open

ATHENS. Civil Protection Deputy Minister Nikos Hardalias announced which businesses will close from today 18th March and which will remain open.

From Wednesday 18 March businesses which have close contact with the public - retail shops - will remain closed.

The following will remain OPEN:

All retail businesses with essential products:

- Supermarkets
- Grocers (Pantopolio)
- Butchers
- Fishmongers
- Bakeries
- Patisseries
- Fruit & vegetable shops
- Liquor stores (Cava)
- Chemists
- Shops with orthopaedic and special needs products as well as medical and gas manufacturers and equipment
- Opticians and hearing-aid shops following calls to an emergency number provided by the shopowners.
- Delivery and take-away businesses.
- Open-air markets - only those selling primary products (adhering to the regulations regarding social contact).
- Liquid fuel businesses.
- Car & motorcycle workshops and repairers including those operating at retail dealers and after sales.
- Bicycle shops and repairers.
- Kiosks (Peripters) and mini markets or small household goods (psilikon).
- Dry cleaners & Laundrettes
- Couriers
- Pet shops
- Telecommunications services (the section dealing with payment & renewal services, repairs and replacement of mobile devices (adhering to the regulations regarding social contact)).
- Electronic & telephone businesses with home delivery (adhering to the regulations regarding social contact).
- Electricity & gas companies.
- Shops selling pesticides, fertiliser, propagation products and agricultural chemicals and products.
- Shops in airports and ports throughout the country (adhering to the regulations regarding social contact).

The prohibition does not include the section of a shop which takes online orders and delivers to homes.

The following businesses will remain CLOSED:

1. Other retail trade in non-specialised shops, apart from small household goods (psilikon), kiosks and online or telephone services with home delivery (e-shops etc.).
2. Retail businesses with computers, peripherals and software in specialist shops, apart from online or telephone services with home delivery (e-shops etc.).
3. Retail businesses with telecommunication equipment in specialist shops, apart from online or telephone services with home delivery (e-shops etc.) and payment & renewal services, repairs and replacement of mobile devices
4. Retail businesses with audiovisual equipment in specialist shops, apart from online or telephone services with home delivery (e-shops etc.).
5. Retail businesses with textile products in specialist shops, apart from online or telephone services with home delivery (e-shops etc.).
6. Retail businesses with hardware products in specialist shops, apart from online or telephone services with home delivery (e-shops etc.).
7. Retail businesses with carpets, rugs and floor and wall coverings in specialist shops, apart from online or telephone services with home delivery (e-shops etc.).
8. Retail businesses with electrical household appliances in specialist shops, apart from online or telephone services with home delivery (e-shops etc.).
9. Retail businesses with furniture, lighting and other home goods in specialist shops, apart from online or telephone services with home delivery (e-shops etc.).
10. Retail businesses with books in specialist shops, apart from online or telephone services with home delivery (e-shops etc.).
11. Retail businesses with newspapers and stationery in specialist shops, apart from online or telephone services with home delivery (e-shops etc.).
12. Retail businesses with music and art products in specialist shops, apart from online or telephone services with home delivery (e-shops etc.).
13. Retail businesses with sportswear in specialist shops, apart from online or telephone services with home delivery (e-shops etc.).

18. Retail businesses with watches and jewelry in specialist shops, apart from online or telephone services with home delivery (e-shops etc.).
19. Other retail businesses with new products in specialist shops, apart from cleaning products, home fuel products, gas, coal and wood, unprocessed agricultural products, equipment and online or telephone services with home delivery (e-shops etc.).
20. Retail businesses with secondhand goods.
21. Retail businesses with textile products, clothing and footwear at outdoor stalls and markets.
22. Retail businesses with other products at outdoor stalls and markets, apart from paper, cleaning and personal care products.
23. Holiday accommodation and other short-term seasonal accommodation.
24. Campsites and other sites for recrational vehicles, trailers and caravans.
25. Restaurants and mobile catering units, apart from delivery and room service etc. and take away businesses where sit-down service is not allowed.
26. Catering services and events.
27. Drink provision services (dance clubs, cafe bars, cafeterias, entertainment centres etc.) apart from delivery and room service etc. and take away businesses where sit-down service is not allowed.
28. Businesses with film screenings.
