CORFU. Only one person allowed to assist patients who can΄t help themselves.
New measures are in force at Corfu Hospital as of today following guidelines from the Ministry to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Hospital Director Leonidas Roubatis told ERT Kerkyra that it has been decided to prohibit visitors as well as helpers for patients that can take care of themselves. Only one helper will be allowed for patients that can't look after themselves.
Mr. Roubatis said that whoever thinks they are a carrier or have coronavirus should not visit the hospital as the virus could be spread in this way. They should call the free 24-hour 1135 line which provides information and instructions for those who may be carriers or have the virus.
In addition to this measure, a kiosk has been set up at the Emergency entrance to deal with people who may be carriers.
