CORFU. "Love conquers fear.." was the subject of the sermon. "We have to listen to science," says Corfu MP Avlonitis.
There was a large turnout of believers at Corfu Metropolitan Church despite the big discussion over the last few days regarding religious ceremonies and communion and the risk of spreading coronavirus there.
Locals took communion as normal and in his sermon the priest said, "United we have nothing to fear - love conquers fear..."
Corfu SYRIZA MP Alekos Avlonitis commented on the discussion about public health and said that we must listen to science - to the guidelines from the health services and the government. In these types of matters logic and rationality must prevail.
