Dispute between tourist coaches and open-top buses goes to court

CORFU. The open dispute between tourist coach owners and open-top tour buses is continuing in court.
There will be a court hearing today of the lawsuit filed by an open-top bus company.
The Tourist Coach Owners' Association and the majority of businesses have issued several statements and sent letters to the responsible Ministries requesting that the open-top tourist buses licences be revoked.
In response to the actions of the Association the company which considers itself to be the aggrieved party has filed a libel suit. The Corfu United Tourism & Business Organisation has come out in support of the defendant and issued the following statement: "Following an extraordinary meeting of our board, we have decided unanimously to condemn the criminalisation of having a different opinion regarding the public open-top urban tour buses and support Corfu Business Association and the Tourist Coach Owners' Association. Our Organisation will whatever actions are necessary to bring together business interests in order to defend the interests of the community and the local economy."
