CORFU. Another voice against the Municipality of Corfu being split up - the Association sent a letter to the Minister for the Interior Alexis Haritsis cc to the Prime Minister.
"With this letter we would like to express our opposition to the splitting up of the Municipality of Corfu.
We believe that at the beginning of the tourist season, with so many other problems on the island - mainly that of refuse collection - the last thing we should be discussing is the splitting up of the Municipality.
For that reason, Honourable Minister, we would request that you examine the matter again, also taking into account the other organizations on the island who have the same view as us.
There will be plenty of time after the elections for it to be properly organized."
