Test results for Corfu patient taken to Ioannina negative for coronavirus

IOANNINA. The results of the tests for the second sample from the 51-year-old who was taken to Ioannina University Hospital were negative for coronavirus.
The analyses were carried out in Athens and the first results came back in the afternoon followed by the the results from the second test as is the procedure in all cases.
The 51-year-old was transferred from Corfu without having first gone to the local hospital and his case was considered suspicious as he had travelled to Milan a few days earlier.
The patient remains in the Infections Unit and is in good health. The tests show that he was suffering from seasonal flu.
