CORFU. The ΄Old΄ Philharmonic Society Youth Band will be performing its traditional concert at the Municipal Theatre.

The 'Rock and Pop Concert' will include hits from Queen, The Beatles, The Blues Brothers, Secret Garden and Michael Jackson as well as works from film soundtracks.
As is traditional at these concerts, the two winners of the annual Spyros Motsenigos Wind Instrument Competition will perform solos. Konstantinos Tzafestas (1st prize) on alto saxophone will perform Air Nostalgique by Ted Huggens and Simone Haiger (2nd prize) on euphonium will perform You Raise Me Up by Rolf Rovland.
Georgia Konstantinidou will also perform a solo on marimba, Eftihia Zervou on violin and there will be a 'surprise' soloist.
The Philharmonic Society's Children's Choir will also be taking part with soloist Myrto Manetta.
