Mantouki fire victim in Athens hospital dies

ATHENS. 58-year-old Spyros Kritikos fought for his life for almost a month following the serious respiratory burns he suffered in the Mantouki house fire.
The family living on the 3rd floor of the same building suffered only a few injuries when they were saved from the fire on 13 December - the mother and daughter jumping from the window and the father being rescued from the roof.
58-year-old Spyros Kritikos on the 1st floor, however, had to be taken to the ICU at Corfu Hospital. His burns were so serious that he had to be airlifted to a special Burns Unit in Athens.
Unfortunately, the father of two didn't pull through and passed away at the Burns Unit at Athens KAT Hospital.
