CORFU. There will be a Celebration of Love at the Christmas Fairy Tale in Old Town Hall Square starting at 17:00 on Monday 30th.
The Celebration of Love 'Toy Collection' organised by Faros Zois (Lighthouse of Life) every year will take place on Monday 30 December.
Faros Zois announcement:
"PUT LOVE INTO PRACTICE
Following the postponement due to weather, Faros Zois (Lighthouse of Life) will be holding its Celebration of Love 'Toy Collection' on Monday 30 December at 17:00 in the Old Town Hall Square at the Christmas Fairy Tale organised by the Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Municipality.
We won't leave until Santa's sack is full of toys and games for the children at 'Elpida' Children's Oncology Unit.
They will bring year-round smiles as they will be sent to the volunteer group 'Smiles, Colours and Rainbow' which involves children at the hospital unit in creative activities.
As in all our organisation's activities we will be giving hope and will be providing information for anyone who wishes to become a bone marrow donor for 'Orama Elpida' and give a sample.
An evening full of surprises, treats, games and music for young and old.
We will be waiting for you at Christmas Magic - we are fortunate to be able to live our simple everyday lives whilst others, especially children, are in a hospital ward at this festive time of year, which, as much as their parents try to create a happy environment, is not the same as home.
We'll be waiting to see you here!"
