Christmas carols for the Regional Governor

CORFU. There were Christmas carols at the Regional Administration offices in Alykes on Monday 23 December.

The Ionian Islands Regional Administration Press Office issued the following press release:

There was a festive atmosphere as 'Capodistrias' Philharmonic Society played traditional Christmas carols.

The members of the Philharmonic Society were welcomed by the Ionian Islands Regional Governor Rodi Kratsa along with secretary Dimitris Milios, Deputy Governor for Infrastructure & Technical Works Emmanuel Orphanoudakis, Deputy Governor for Social Welfare, Public Health & Employment Konstantinos Zorbas, Councillor Yiannis Armeniakos, Office Director Theodoros Mihalakis and representatives from the Regional Planning & Development Department, Treasury and Administrative Authority. Good wishes were exchanged for a happy, creative and fruitful new year.



"We wish everyone peace and good health this Christmas and strength to start the new year with new momentum and planning in order to efficiently serve our region and Corfu, which continues to uphold the islands' Philharmonic tradition," said Ms. Kratsa and thanked all those present for their contribution to the musiical tradition of the Ionian Islands.

The President of 'Capodistrias' Philharmonic Society presented the Governor with a special History of the Society.

Ms. Kratsa then went to the Corfu Regional Office and wished all the personnel there a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.



"You are the driving force behind the new start and the work we are doing for our fellow residents. We are working all together for the development of our islands. Season's greetings to you all with good health, with the hope that the new year brings happiness and success," Ms. Kratsa told the Corfu Regional Administration personnel.

The Corfu Conservatory played Christmas carols to Regional Governor Rodi Kratsa along with the President of the Regional Council Nikolaos Mouzakitis, secretary Dimitris Milios, Deputy Governor for Infrastructure & Technical Works Emmanuel Orphanoudakis, Deputy Governor for Social Welfare, Public Health & Employment Konstantinos Zorbas and Deputy Governor for the Environment, Energy & Planning Spyros Ioannou.
