Dancing for Smile of the Child

There was a big party in the pedestrian precinct of Evg. Voulgareos St. on Saturday morning for the benefit of the charity organisation.



For the 5th year running young and old dancers from the island's groups danced together to raise funds for The Smile of the Child and to encourage everyone to support the organisation.



Teachers of traditional Greek dance Vivi Metallinou, Eleni Fakiola, Marilena Kanta, Niki Kentarchou, Fevronia Kontou and Chrysa Pouliasi brought their groups together for a big party with lots of Cultural Societies joining in.

The aim of the party was to raise funds for The Smile of the Child which does so much work to support children in need. Donation boxes were filled and people were encouraged to shop from the charity's bazaar at the Municipal Theatre.
