Driver gets 30-month sentence suspended for 3 years for the road accident that cost the life of 8-year-old Anna-Maria

CORFU. Ten months after the fatal road accident on Eth. Lefkimmi Rd. that cost the life of the 8-year-old girl the two drivers were tried in court.
Two cars were involved in the accident which caused so much public grief but the young girl had already lost her life after being hit by the first car. She was walking when she was hit by the two cars, which were travelling in opposite directions, one after the other.
The 45-year-old driver of the first car was found guilty of manslaughter and was sentenced to 30 months imprisonment suspended for 3 years - the mitigating factor of his law-abiding life being taken into consideration.
The 42-year-old driver of the second car was found not guilty.
