CORFU. The Prosecutor has ordered a psychiatric evaluation.
The 39-year-old woman was arrested on Friday evening and charged with arson. The fire in Agios Markos broke out in an area with reeds on Friday morning and quickly spread - coming close to a residential area.
Following a medical assessment she was taken to the Psychiatric Clinic, where she is being held hospitalised under guard.
The woman was brought in following eyewitness reports and according to Fire Service sources, is said to have confessed to the act.
