CORFU. The new equipment brings an end to patients suffering due to the regular malfunctioning of the old scanner.
Over the last few years the hospital had to bear huge expenses for repairs to the old equipment which continuously malfunctioned and of course patients also suffered. According to Hospital Director Phivos Kakavitsas, "2.5 years of effort starting from zero has brought the first tangible result".
The old equipment was unistalled yesterday and the new 16-section CAT Scanner is being installed today and will soon be in operation.
