The Corfu branch of the Hellenic National Youth Council (ESYN) is organising its 14th Festival for International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (26 June) with the slogan "Live reality! Think, dream, fight! Become a winner in life!"

The festival includes sports and cultural events with 12 football clubs, 2 handball clubs, 7 school theatre groups, 3 dance groups and 2 arts groups. Over 600 children will be participating.

There will be a football tournament in Nymphes on Sunday 16 June and a handball tournament in the Lower Square in Corfu Town on Saturday 29 June.

The cultural events will take place at the Rena Vlachopoulou Theatre in Mon Repos from 15 to 24 June.

The Corfu branch of ESYN has extended an invitation "for us all to applaud the creativity of young people who think, dream and fight to become winners in life in the fight against the sub-culture, misdirection and alienation!

We ask you to support ESYN's fight to support the island's organisations (Diaplus, Dimop Nikos Moros and Okana) which are suffering the consequences of the anti-social policies of all the recent governments and the EU!

We ask you to clearly promote our slogan "No to all drugs".

The Festival is being co-organised by the Hellenic Women's Federation, Diaplus, Friends of Diaplus Parents & Guardians Association and the Hellenic Olympic Medal Winners Association. It is supported by dozens of cultural, sports and scientific societies and associations, the Workers' Centre and the PAME trade union. Financial support is being provided by the Ionian Islands Regional Administration and the Municipal Culture, Sports and Environmental Organisation (DOPAP).
