Corfu Hospital to have new CAT scanner in two months

CORFU. Corfu Hospital has signed a contract with the company GE for a new 16-section CAT scanner.
According to the contract the company will install the new CAT scanner at Corfu Hospital within 60 days.
Corfu Hospital Director Fivos Kakavitsas said, "This brings an end to the constant concern we had to keep our existing machine operational with its frequent problems and the huge repair costs involved. We have been fighting for this for 2.5 years and the result is this new scanner. We are now waiting for the court decision regarding a 64-section scanner via the ESPA programme."
