Arillas Green Spot - Composting demonstration

CORFU. Special event at Arillas Green Spot on Sunday 24 March with composting, recycling, re-use and planting....with beer and souvlaki!
The Green Spot is open for recycling from 10:00. Members of the Corfu Compost Project will be demonstrating how each of us can compost! Bring your recyclable materials, plants for planting and food for grilling and eating - there will be cool Corfu beer!
Composting guidelines:
1. Always use a bucket and not a plastic bag to move organic materials.
2. Empty the contents into the composter and the equivalent amount of dried materials.
3. Make sure there are no unsuitable materials in the compost!
4. Always use the current composter in use.
Suitable materials:
GREEN
- Fruit and vegetable remains
- Old bread
- Paper tea and coffee sachets
- Cut grass
BROWN
- Dried leaves and flowers
- Cardboard cut into small pieces
- White paper napkins and kitchen paper
- Sawdust
- Toilet paper
- Broken up branches
Unsuitable materials:
Plastic, glass, prited paper, food remains containg fat, cooked food, meat, bones, dairy products.
